Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

At HAGGiS Adventures, we believe travel should be welcoming, respectful and accessible to everyone. We are actively working to create a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment for our staff, customers and communities. Through our workplace policies, employee-led initiatives and community partnerships, we continue to build a culture where people feel valued, supported and empowered to be themselves.

What this means in practice:

  • Creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels welcome
  • Supporting diversity across our workforce and leadership teams
  • Promoting LGBTQIA+ inclusion and allyship
  • Encouraging respectful and inclusive communication
  • Listening to staff, travellers and communities
  • Continuously improving our policies and practices

Radical Pride Circle

Inclusive Communication

Every month since 2023, our Pride Circle members have been gathering to explore topics ranging from integrating inclusive policies to building LGBTQIA+-friendly networks, championing under-represented communities, and supporting our staff.

Using Pronouns in Emails

Our staff are encouraged to include their pronouns in their email signatures, and we're delighted to see many of our team embracing this. You can read about the benefits of this practice here.

LGBT Youth Scotland Fundraiser

Supporting LGBT Youth Scotland

We’ve been proud to support LGBT Youth Scotland since 2023, raising over £2,500 (and counting!) through events like our staff Christmas party. The money goes towards creating safe spaces and offering support, advice, and a sense of belonging to young people across Scotland.

Have feedback or suggestions on how we can make travel in Scotland more diverse and inclusive? Email us at info@haggisadventures.com. We'd love to hear from you!
